How verification, reporting, moderation, account security and responsible marketplace operation work.
Last updated: 25 June 2026
1. Our trust approach
Deployed Works is a capability marketplace.
Trust depends on clear identity signals, truthful profiles, genuine briefs, fair conduct, secure accounts and responsible moderation.
The Platform is not a guarantee that every User is suitable, safe or legally compliant. Users must still carry out their own checks before entering into agreements.
2. Verification
We may introduce verification checks over time.
Verification may include:
- email verification;
- domain or organisation checks;
- manual review of profiles or briefs;
- checks against public information;
- payment or billing checks;
- security and fraud signals.
A verification badge, where used, means only that a particular check has been completed. It is not an endorsement, employment decision, reference, guarantee or legal opinion.
3. Reporting abuse
Users can report:
- fake accounts;
- fake capability or fake opportunities;
- harassment or discrimination;
- spam, fraud, phishing or malware;
- suspicious payment requests;
- content that appears unlawful or unsafe.
Reports should go to: trust@deployed.works
4. Moderation
We may review content, accounts and activity manually or with automated support.
Moderation actions may include:
- asking for more information;
- editing or removing content;
- limiting visibility;
- suspending features;
- suspending or closing accounts;
- preserving evidence;
- reporting serious matters where appropriate.
5. Account security
Users should:
- use strong, unique passwords;
- enable MFA where available;
- keep email accounts secure;
- avoid sharing accounts;
- report suspicious logins promptly.
Administrators should use MFA and restrict access to people who need it.
6. Fraud prevention
We may use security signals, audit logs, rate limits, payment checks and manual review to detect and prevent misuse.
We may block activity that appears suspicious even if it has not yet caused harm.
7. Responsible marketplace operation
We aim to operate the Platform in a way that is:
- transparent about what the Platform can and cannot do;
- careful with employment, tax and legal-status claims;
- respectful of Users' data and privacy;
- clear about when AI is assistive;
- responsive to reports of harm.
8. Privacy and data control
Users should be able to understand and control their data.
Marketplace account Users can use Privacy & Data settings to download account data, request a formal export, request deletion, manage marketing preferences, see a data retention summary and review privacy request and consent history. Completed account deletion removes the marketplace account and linked marketplace records, while privacy request and audit records remain where needed for operational proof.
Public website visitors can use /privacy for newsletter, newsroom and contact-form data requests.
We keep audit records where needed to prove platform activity, security decisions or compliance operations. Where a User is deleted, audit records should avoid retaining unnecessary profile detail.
9. Appeals and review
Where appropriate, Users may ask us to review a moderation decision.
We may decline review where an account creates serious trust, security, legal or fraud risk.
